Lee Van Scyoc, VP for Wilson State Bank, is a loan officer at the Hoisington Branch. He grew up in Hoisington, graduated from Pittsburg State College, and started with Associates Financial Service in 1969 at Dodge City, Ks. And later managed the office in Russell, Ks. He worked for Associates until December of 1972 when he returned home to work for Hoisington National Bank as a loan officer. He became President of HNB in 1986 and served as President until 2010 when HNB sold to Wilson State Bank. Since that time, he has served Wilson State Bank as VP (part time) in the lending department. Lee enjoys concerts, sporting events, spending time with five grandchildren, playing racquetball, and remolding and flipping residential real estate. Over the years, Lee served on many boards and volunteer projects, was actively involved in Chamber of Commerce activities and Recreation Commission activities. Lee coach high school softball for a number of years as well as girl’s tennis. His summer softball teams won three state titles and played in two national championships in Spokane, Washington and Bloomington, Indiana. The Spokane team finished the summer in fifth place in the national tournament. Lee satisfied one if his “bucket list” goals in 2019, when he attended the boys Little League World Series in Williamsport, Penn.
